[edit] Summary

IRB: Georgetown University is currently in the implementation phase of a Click Commerce IRB portal deployment. We kicked off the project in September 2008, and our scheduled go-live date is August/September 2009. Once completed, our IRB will mandate all continuing renewals be filed within the system, and paper forms will no longer be accepted.

  • Single Server Configuration, Dell PowerEdge, SQL Server 2005, EMC SAN Storage
  • VMWare virtual infrastructure is used for development and disaster recovery instances.

[edit] Features Unique to our Implementation

  • Our IRB requires Study Specific Disclosures of financial interests for all study staff to accompany all protocol applications. We have crafted a SSDF (Study Specific Disclosure Form) module to facilitate the tracking of the neccessary disclosures, with email notifications to those required to disclose who have not yet done so.
